2018 Snow Ball Party
From the endless hot chocolate to the overflowing glasses of champagne to the outpouring of love, laughter, and dancing shared amongst guests, Snow Ball 2018 was a success! In our scenic winter wonderland, Firebeat students graced the dance floor throughout the night. While students were wistfully waltzing or joyfully jiving, our staff prepared for the big reveal of the night - Firebeat’s end of the year staff skit.
The audience were lead to believe that the show would be a reprise to this year’s Showcase favorite, student Pete & Paula’s “Be Our Guest” number from Beauty and the Beast. Pete came out in his full regalia as Lumiere - complete with special effect gloves. He delighted the audience with his lip-sycing and charisma. When it was time for Mrs. Pott’s entrance, instead of our student, Paula, luscious locks of red, black, and brown tiptoed on the floor as our male staff made their appearance as Princesses Ariel, Pocahontas, and Belle. Audience members “oo-ed”, “ahh-ed”, laughed, and quite possibly even shed a few tears (from laughing too hard). It was a wonderful moment for our staff to let down their hair and share some laughs with the students.
By the end of the night bellies were full from delicious Georgetown cupcakes, feet were sore from dancing, and hearts were full of love. With the help of our students, new and veteran, we spread the holiday cheer, bid the current year goodbye, and welcomed 2019 with open arms.
