GET STARTED WITH AN INTRO LESSON
People come to Firebeat for many reasons. Some people are aiming to increase their health and fitness, while others are looking to make new friends or spice up a date night. Some are preparing for weddings and special events, and some have been dreaming of dancing like the stars for as long as they can remember. Rest assured that no matter what your unique reason for wanting to learn to dance may be, our Introductory Private Lesson is the best place to begin.
To help you get started, we are pleased to offer our 30-minute Intro Lesson at a special rate of $49. You’ll spend your lesson one-on-one with one of our expert instructors, allowing you to experience our studio at your own pace, tailored specifically to your needs. In your Intro Lesson, as in all of our classes, no partner is required, although you are of course welcome to bring one!

FAQs FOR NEW STUDENTS
What if I don't have a partner?
Not a problem! You don’t need a partner to enjoy ballroom dancing. In private lessons, you will dance with your instructor. Group classes are designed to maximize individual learning while providing opportunities to rotate partners and practice the same steps with different people.

What do I wear to my first lesson?
Whatever is most comfortable for you! Some students come straight from work in business or casual attire. Fitness attire is also appropriate, but please feel free to get in character and dress the part! Ladies may opt to wear heels and a mid-length sassy skirt for Latin classes, or full-length flowy skirts/pants for Ballroom classes. Gentlemen are welcome to wear slacks and dress shoes. We also carry a selection of high quality practice wear at our studio.
What if I want to invest in ballroom dance shoes?
We'd be happy to help match the right shoe to your dancing goals. If you are interested in Latin dance shoes, we carry a selection from Aida, handmade in Russia. For all other needs, please speak with our instructors and knowledgeable front desk team for additional information.
